You remain responsible for decisions made in reliance on information obtained through the website.

4. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the website’s design, layout, written content, graphics, photographs, magazine material and other original content are owned by or licensed to Rotary Africa and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

This may include the magazine, website, newsletters, social media platforms and promotional material.

This licence allows Rotary Africa to resize photographs, edit copy for length and clarity, create extracts, add headlines and make reasonable editorial changes without changing the material’s essential meaning.

7. Editorial Decisions

Submission does not guarantee publication.

Rotary Africa may decide whether, when and how submitted material is used. We may:

  • Accept or reject a submission.
  • Request additional information.
  • Edit material for clarity, accuracy, style, length or legal reasons.
  • Delay or cancel publication.
  • Remove published online content where appropriate.

Unless agreed separately in writing, contributors are not entitled to payment for submitted or published material.

8. Advertising

Advertisements are supplied by third parties.

Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that their advertisements, claims, products and services comply with applicable laws and industry requirements.

Rotary Africa may accept, reject, edit, reschedule or withdraw advertising material at its discretion, subject to any applicable advertising agreement.

The publication of an advertisement does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of the advertiser, product or service.

Specific advertising bookings may be subject to additional rates, deadlines, specifications, cancellation terms and payment conditions.

9. Subscriptions and Fees

Magazine subscriptions, membership-related fees or other paid services may be subject to additional terms displayed during the relevant application or payment process.

You are responsible for providing accurate billing, contact and delivery information.
