Turn Your Ideas Into Action

Rotary brings together people who want to create lasting change in their communities and around the world.

Through local clubs, members build meaningful connections, develop their leadership skills and work together on projects addressing important community needs.

Whether you are an established professional, a young leader, a student or someone looking for a practical way to serve, there is a place for you within the Rotary family.

Choose the Right Community for You

Rotary Clubs

Rotary clubs bring together professionals, business leaders and community-minded people who use their skills, experience and networks to make a difference.

Members participate in local and international projects, build professional and personal relationships, and contribute to causes that matter to their communities.

Rotaract Clubs

Rotaract is Rotary’s network of young adults who take action through service, leadership development and friendship.

Rotaract clubs provide opportunities to lead projects, develop valuable skills, expand professional networks and connect with other young changemakers.

Interact Clubs

Interact gives young people an opportunity to develop leadership skills and participate in community service while still at school.

Interact clubs are usually supported by a local Rotary club and are designed for young people between the ages of 12 and 18.

What Can You Expect?

By joining a Rotary or Rotaract club, you can:

Support meaningful community projects

How Membership Works

Rotary and Rotaract membership is managed by individual clubs. Each club has its own meeting schedule, membership process, activities and membership fees.

The best way to begin is to identify a club near you and contact its leadership team. The club can invite you to attend a meeting, learn more about its projects and discuss the membership process.

Rotary Africa magazine does not process membership applications or determine club membership fees.

Not Ready to Join Yet?

You do not have to become a member immediately to begin learning about Rotary.

Attend a local event, follow a nearby club online, volunteer at a project or speak to a club member about their experience. Visiting a club is a simple way to discover whether it is the right fit for you.
